Add and Format Text

The text block is the foundation of most emails. Use it for headlines, body copy, and any written content in your template.

Add a Text Block

  1. Drag the Text block from the block palette onto your canvas.
  2. Double-click the block to start editing. A floating toolbar appears above the text with formatting options.
  3. Type or paste your content.

Format Your Text

When you are editing a text block, the floating toolbar gives you access to inline formatting options like bold and italic. For structural formatting, use the settings panel on the right.

Block Type

Use the block type selector in the settings panel to change the text element type:

  • Heading 1 — Large headline, best for the main title of your email
  • Heading 2 — Section headline
  • Heading 3 — Subsection headline
  • Paragraph — Standard body text (default)

Font Family

Choose from web-safe fonts that render reliably across email clients:

  • Arial (default)
  • Georgia
  • Times New Roman
  • Tahoma
  • Verdana
  • Courier New
  • Trebuchet MS

Font Size

Adjust the base font size using the slider in the settings panel. The range is 10px to 72px. For body copy, 14px to 16px is a good starting point. For headlines, try 24px to 36px.

Text Color

Click the color picker in the settings panel to set the text color. You can choose from the palette or enter a specific hex value (for example, #374151).

Adjust Spacing

Use the padding controls in the settings panel to add space around your text block. You can set padding independently for the top, right, bottom, and left sides.

Mobile Settings

Expand the responsive settings section to configure mobile-specific behavior:

  • Hide on mobile — Toggle to hide this text block on mobile devices.
  • Hide on desktop — Toggle to hide this text block on desktop.
  • Mobile font size — Set a different font size for mobile screens. This is useful when a large desktop headline needs to be smaller on phones.

Tips

  • Keep paragraphs short — two to three sentences works well for email.
  • Use headings to break up long emails into scannable sections.
  • Stick to one or two font families per email to maintain a clean look.
