Add Social Media Icons

The social icons block lets you add recognizable social media links to your email — typically in the footer. Templated supports over 50 platforms from around the world.

Add a Social Icons Block

  1. Drag the Social Icons block from the block palette onto your canvas.
  2. In the settings panel, select the platforms you want to include.
  3. Enter the URL for each selected platform.

Select Platforms

The settings panel lists all available platforms organized by category:

  • Global — Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Reddit, Discord
  • Messaging — WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber, Skype, LINE, WeChat, Signal
  • Professional — GitHub, GitLab, Behance, Dribbble, Medium, Slack, Figma, Stack Overflow, Product Hunt
  • Video & Streaming — Twitch, Vimeo, Spotify, SoundCloud, Patreon
  • Regional — VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Yandex, Weibo
  • E-commerce — Amazon, Etsy, Yelp, Airbnb

Use the Category dropdown to filter platforms by type, or use the Search field to find a specific platform by name. Check the box next to each platform you want to include.

Set Platform URLs

After enabling a platform, a URL input field appears for it. Enter the full URL to your profile or page (for example, https://twitter.com/yourcompany).

Style the Icons

Size

Use the Icon Size slider to set the size of all icons, from 16px to 48px. A size of 24px to 32px works well for most emails.

Color

Set a unified icon color using the color picker. All icons use the same color, which helps maintain a consistent look.

Shape

Choose the icon shape:

  • Circle — Round icon backgrounds
  • Rounded — Softly rounded square backgrounds
  • Square — Sharp-cornered backgrounds

Variant

Choose how the icons are rendered:

  • Minimal — Icon only, no background
  • Filled — Solid background behind the icon
  • Outline — Border around the icon with a transparent background

Spacing

Use the Spacing slider to control the gap between icons, from 4px to 32px.

Alignment

Align the icon row to the Left, Center, or Right of its container.

Mobile Settings

Like other blocks, you can hide the social icons block on mobile or desktop using the responsive settings.

Tips

  • Include only the platforms where you are actively present — linking to empty or outdated profiles hurts credibility.
  • The social icons block works well inside a row or container with a subtle background color, creating a distinct footer area.
  • Stick to 3-6 platforms. Too many icons can feel cluttered and dilute clicks.
